In 2009, Dr. Robyn Spirtas, a successful marriage and family therapist was approached by two different women about helping them market their businesses. She said "sure, but let's get together at the same time and if you know anyone interested, bring them along" each woman brought a friend and the five woman had an impromptu marketing meeting. They enjoyed it so much that they decided to do it again the next month. The following month more women came and a monthly group started. After several months, the group came up with a name (Not an easy task!) They decided on S.W.A.T. Successful Women Aligning Together. It was a fun group but mostly just a social activity and Dr. Robyn put it on hold. One day in 2010, Dr. Robyn's good friend, Jill Salazar said "I really miss our group. I think we should start up again, but really make it more of a formal networking organization". They put their heads together and started publicizing the SWAT Networking Group in Bradenton, Florida. The group grew rapidly and is now branching out to chapters in other areas. They feel the success of the organization is the wonderful women in the group and the fact that they focus on true networking and supporting one another as women. Dr. Robyn says that it is like grown up girl scouts! ...Meet our Director
